Manouchehr Asgharian was born in a traditional Iranian family in the city of Boroujerd, Iran 19370707. His father Bahram passed away in cancer when he was just 7 years old. Bad luck haunted him in his childhood years as his mother Tajmah passed away just one year later. From then on his older siblings took over the responsibility of raising him.
During his youth Manuochehr studied science at highschool and after a few years majored in maths at college. While studying at college himself he taught maths at highschools all over Tehran.
After finishing college 1957 he attended military academy and 3 years later in 1960 graduated as military officer and started serving his country at gendarmerie (paramilitary security police).
He got married to his wife Shirin Danehkar in April 1962 whom he raised their two children with. His daughter Shiva was born in 1963 and his son Shahab born in 1976. Manouchehr was forced to leave his home country in 1983 together with his family and moved to Japan were they spent 1.5 years before finally settling down in Sweden 1985.
Manouchehr’s heart was always beating passionately for his home country and he founded “The society of Iranian patriots” in Sweden and remained a true and devoted patriot himself till the end.
He became also a member of “Iranian society of Stockholm” whose members were by his side until his final breath at 4:30 AM 20110510 and never let his family shoulder the pain and sorrow alone. The support offered by their members and Manoucher’s closest friends and relatives is something which we sincerely appreciate and are forever grateful for.
Still one year after his death, we feel sorrow and pain in our hearts after the hole he left in all of our hearts. Manouchehr passed away after fighting for his life with advanced liver cancer for 9 months.
May his soul rest in peace forever.
